GENOCIDE IN GAZA: DO YOU BELIEVE IT NOW?

This new series of mixed-media artwork features collages of Washington Post articles that I’ve covered with layers of melted beeswax, resin, and acrylic paint. Other pieces feature melted vinyl records, spray paint, and Palestinian stickers and flags.

Media coverage of the ongoing genocide in Gaza is waning, but the Israeli military is still killing thousands of innocent civilians, bombing schools and refugee centers, and blocking humanitarian aid. The images of grieving Palestinians are heartbreaking, and we are all complicit in the carnage since our taxpayer dollars are paying for the missiles and bombs raining down on families in Gaza.

Art has been a tool of protest for centuries, and I’m raising my voice in solidarity with the Palestinian people with an urgent plea that we act now to end this senseless bloodshed.
