GENOCIDE IN GAZA: OPEN YOUR EYES

This new series of mixed-media artwork features collages of newspaper articles and Palestinian flags and stickers immersed in layers of melted beeswax, resin, and acrylic paint.

The Israeli military, armed with bombs and missiles paid for by U.S. taxpayers, have killed more than 47,000 Palestinians by relentlessly bombing schools, hospitals, homes, and refugee centers and blocking desperately needed humanitarian aid.

The current ceasefire is promising, but it will take years of work to rebuild Gaza, abolish the apartheid system in the West Bank, and create an equal and independent Palestinian state.

Art has been a tool of protest for centuries, and Iā€™m raising my voice in solidarity with the Palestinian people with an urgent plea that we act now to end this senseless bloodshed and the decades of racism and militarism that have enabled it.
